It's done

I took Micah to get her drivers license yesterday. We had to meet her old drivers Ed teacher for the skills test. He was sure to ask her if she was sure she wanted to take it on Friday the 13th, after I had been asking her all morning. She did well. She took a big corner a bit fast...and has issues stopping completely at stop signs. And I thought it was a bit unfair she had to parallel park where there was no cars...lol. We hurried over for her to take the written test right after.
She only missed 3! She finally got her "mug shot" and the lady congratulated her! The day didn't go off without a hitch though. We did go to take the test and found out that the tags were expired by almost 3 months, and then we had to buy new Idaho plates because I guess ours were too old according to law! But I guess if this is the worst, it's all good!

Easter Bunny Aftermath!

Another surgery!

I had surgery again on the 22nd of March - My first being on the 22nd of Feb. They didn't find much on the first and were starting to blame my poor gallbladder. I thought that they were going to take it out....but they ended up putting a scope down into my stomach. I don't know many results yet, but he took 2 more biopsies. It's a good thing I work in the OR because right as they were putting me to sleep the doc walks in and says...We are doing a colonoscopy with no sedation, right....Just as I screamed no...he says thats right....we're not, but we didn't have time to clean the scope between cases. Man oh man, if I didn't work there I would be really worried they were serious....
Hmmmm...I think they were kidding. Anyways, I came out, without having breath smelling of poop. I did have to have oxygen, although the guy next to me in the recovery room who was 83 did not have to. I did have a few tatoos that I couldn't account for, kept finding more and more later in the day. But I felt pretty ok. Took the kids on a bike ride and played church volleyball that night.
Wish me luck at work on monday, and tuesday at my doc appointment.

Who is Carina Blacker?

So I'm at work on Monday...minding my own business....with the exception of beating the refrigerator (that's a long story on it's own)....
This lady comes from Medical records just really upset. She needs to find Carina Blacker's file. I said why are you looking for my file, it should be in your office. She says, "I didn't say your file, I said Carina Blacker's." It took me a while to convince her I was Carina, you would've thought the badge would do the job but guess not. She said the Doc was looking for it, I didn't think that was too good a sign since I had been working with him all morning in surgery and him not mentioning anything. She left and came back, she must be really blond because we started the same conversation over again. I left feeling a little uneasy. My medical record from last Thursday was still missing, and I'm worried what the doc is doing. But hopefully I will find out about my 6 biopsies that were taken at my appointment in 45 min. Cross your fingers it's nothing too bad.

Must be a lightweight...lol

So, my friend, the anesthesiologist says....how ya feeling? I say, I don't want to remember anything. One tube in, then another, then he says "do you feel it working?" I say yes, and that's all I remember.... Wow, it didn't take much to knock me out! And ya know what, I don't remember a thing, dang good thing!!!

HELLO! I am here!!!

OK SO....I AM STILL PISSED ABOUT THE FACT THAT I AM NOT IN ANY OF THOSE COOL FRIENDS PICTURES!!! HAHA....I FEEL SO LEFT OUT! SO ONE OF THESE DAYS WE WILL HAVE TO DO THAT AGAIN BUT INCLUDE ME! HEEHEE WELL I AM DOING GOOD! I SHOULD BE GETTING READY FOR WORK BUT I AM THE BOSS SO I CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT RIGHT??!! I SET A GREAT EXAMPLE!! BUT ANYWAYS I AM GOING TO GET OUTTA HERE. HOPEFULLY I DID THIS RIGHT!

What to do?!?

So on Friday, I get a call from the hospital. Silly me, I thought it was test results from that morning. It wasn't. It was the Nurse Supervisor. She offered me 2 jobs. I told her I would think about it over the weekend, and let her know Monday when I went to work. I'm still no closer to deciding. So I need help. Should I take the Health Unit Coordinator job in the ER - 7pm to 7am 3 nights a week. It is checking people into the ER, contacting Docs, Arranging life flights, billing, and filing, and switchboard. The other Job is CNA in Med/Surg PRN - that could end up many hours because they are so short on nurses. I could decide on either and go for an interview or I could take neither. Any ideas?

Wow What A Day!

Today was one of those days that, well, we won't speak of! Hahaha! Let's just say that people at my work have seen too much of me! I cannot believe I gotta go back to work Monday and look them in the face! One of the downsides to working at the hospital. Oh well, it is over.

Things here are going good. Just wondering where all my wonderful friends are! Hope to see you on here soon.
